my biggest UI frustration when it comes to linux for the past years: File selector dialogues of different UI libraries and how they not sync their bookmarks with each others.
@JennyFluff Honestly not aware of the exact details but I think if you're using a distro with UI libraries newer than 2016 there should be a system-wide option somewhere to force or at least "heavily suggest" all programs to use the same file picker.
If so, I hope someone can help you find it. If not, I do am more than mildly dissappointed.
I have all the stuff they are talking about installed.
I opened qt5ct to select "GTK2" in standard dialogs (showed me "Default" and "KDE" as other options) - setting it to GTK2 makes it at least use the bookmarks, but still looks..... different and doesn't preview my pictures?
